Taylor Swift, in full Taylor Alison Swift (born December 13th, 1989 West Reading Pennsylvania U.S.) American pop and country musician and singer whose tales of youthful heartache earned her widespread success in the early 20th century. Swift was a fan of music from an early time. Swift quickly rose up in the ranks, beginning as a child actor and then performing before a large crowd. She was age 11 when she performed The Star-Spangled Banner before a Philadelphia 76ers basketball match and in the next year, she picked up the guitar and started writing songs. Swift was inspired by artists who played country music, like Shania Twain, the Dixie Chicks and now the Chicks in order to write original music that expressed the apathy she experienced at 13 years old. Swift's parents moved her to Tennessee at thirteen after they sold their Pennsylvania farm. It enabled Swift to spend more time courting labels for traditional music from Nashville.
