Christopher Peter Meloni is an American actor who is well-known for his roles on the well-known television series 'Law & Order Special Victims Unit. His interest in acting began when he was in college. He studied acting at University of Colorado at Boulder. Although he worked on TV and film and on stage, his appearances on small screens have earned him a lot of fame. The actor is able to portray characters of both good and bad sides of the legal system. He is able capture the audiences attention effortlessly. He was the character of the serial killer on the first TV show he appeared in and then later played of an NYPD detective. In recognition of his performance on the smaller screen, he's won several times for the prestigious Emmy Awards. The most striking of his face features is thought to be the sharp blue eyes that have allowed him to portray characters who have a rough, charismatic look. He was listed on People's list of Sexiest Men Alive in 2006.
